You're already working with Kubernetes or Docker? Or your team is going to implement Kubernetes? Are you already responsible for part or all of a Kubernetes cluster and you want more depth?
This course covers the Fundamentals training as well as going in depth. We cover advanced features and use cases to prepare you as an engineer for the day-to-day challenges of creating, managing and debugging Kubernetes clusters running in production. Using concrete examples and practical, hands-on exercises, you'll become a Kubernetes expert and we'll prepare you for the Certfified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Exam.

Who is it for?

The training is aimed at systems and DevOps engineers, SREs and Infra Administrators who want more depth in Kubernetes ("Deep dive") and want to take the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam.

What do you bring?

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Infra or DevOps engineer
  • Practical knowledge of ssh, Linux, Docker (basic), gitlab or jenkins or other CI/CD tooling is advised, Go experience is helpful (or gain some experience with Go at https://tour.golang.org.)
  • Enthusiasm and good humor!

  • Kubernetes principles: Helm, Ingress Controller, Cert Manager, Federation (optional)
  • Kubernetes security: Single Sign On, Role Based Access
  • Monitoring: central logging, central monitoring (setting up and creating dashboards; adding own software
  • Cloud Native solutions for APM (LinkerD & Envoy optional)
  • Storage: Local Storage (optional), Distributed Storage (glusterFS & Smoke (optional)
  • Release Management: continuous integration & continuous delivery (optional)
  • Service Orchestration: own CRD, Operator, Controller (optional)
